Gem Zine is an editorial publication created in collaboration with a close friend working in the jewellery industry. The project explores the natural beauty of gemstones through a minimalist editorial approach, combining photography, layout design, and visual storytelling.

I was responsible for the creative direction of the publication, including the styling of gemstones, studio photography, image editing, and the complete design of the magazine spreads. The visual identity draws inspiration from the geometric forms of cut gemstones, using diamond-shaped compositions, generous white space, and a restrained typographic system to create a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

The photography focuses on revealing the unique textures, colours, and imperfections of raw and polished minerals, while the layouts balance imagery with interviews and editorial content. Every design decision was made to highlight the character of the stones and reflect the precision and craftsmanship found in jewellery design.
